WALK THE WALK - FRANKFURT TO DUBLIN FOR ST PATRICK'S DAY
During the month of March 2021, we organised a "Virtual Walk to Dublin" to celebrate St. Patrick's day and raise funds for KinderHospizverein, Frankfurt. Over 600 people joined us in our virtual walk from over 26 different cities and we raised €4000 with our efforts. The walk ended on St. Patrick's day, the 17th of March. Our goal with the virtual walk was not only to raise funds but also to inspire "random acts of kindness". We saw numerous acts of kindness from cleaning trash from the streets to dropping food to neighbours suffering from Covid.
THANK YOU TO ALL !!!
To remind people of what they do have & not to think of
what they don’t have.
And re-establish links with friends from afar.
To raise money for the children’s hospice in Frankfurt.
Collectively to do a 1,000 random acts of kindness
over the 17 days.
To get fitter & feel better.
For the craic !
ACTS OF KINDNESS
The acts can be as small as giving your dog an extra biscuit, to helping a neighbour.
It could be giving your children an extra hug, or your kids being encouraged to
give an extra hug. It is not the size of the act but simply the act itself that is important
Happy Hearts Day came to fruition when on the 1st of March two years ago, a little girl gave her father a
handmade card and wished him happy hearts day, when he asked what was special about the day, she said it’s
to do something kind for someone
you love, or care about.
Mother Theresa summed it up when she said “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love”.
We are just a small group who believe in the ripple effect and aspire to help different sectors of our
community. Join us on this journey to make the world a better place with a thousand random acts of
